4 October 2023 – Open GI (OGI) has partnered with underwriting agency, Ark Insurance Group (Ark), to add a tradesperson offering to brokers and further extend its commercial lines panel.
Ark Combined Liability, a brand-new liability and tools product, went live last month exclusively on the technology partner’s Commerical Micro platform and is aimed at supporting the diverse insurance requirements encountered by tradespeople. It will meet the needs of both standard and high-risk trades and offer key features such as Employers’ Liability up to £10m, Public and Products Liability covers up to £10m, and tools up to £25,000.
Open GI’s Micro platform, centred on commercial lines e-trading through an extensive insurer and MGA panel, further extends the range of products available to brokers to quote, compare and sell from multiple insurers. The new liability and tools product will join Ark’s existing Property Owners and Liability schemes, also on the same platform, offering brokers even more choice when covering liability risk. Open GI also partners with Ark on Household EDI already available on Core, their full-service broking platform.
Russell Hirst, Head of Distribution at Ark Insurance Group comments: “This launch marks the latest product to go live with Open GI. Joining forces again, demonstrates our commitment to this key distribution partnership. It has also enabled us to add to the ever-growing portfolio of our products available on OGI’s platforms, widen our distribution further and trade with an even broader spectrum of high-quality brokers.”
Commenting on the partnership, Simon Badley, Open GI’s CEO, said: “I am delighted we are working with the Ark team again. We have forged a strong relationship in the last six years of working together and the roll out of this latest product signifies the latest step in our long-term commitment to grow our commercial lines panel. As a technology partner we want to ensure that through our connectivity with more than 150 solutions providers we create a breadth of choice across all lines of business.”
