Open GI Adds Commercial Express Property Owners to Commercial Panel

Specialist MGA Commercial Express has joined Open GI’s commercial panel.

It means brokers using Open GI will have access to Commercial Express’ specialist property insurance, including its ability to write unoccupied property and its strong appetite for DSS, and professional or retired tenanted properties.

Prime SME Property Owners covers up to £3 million total sum insured, can accommodate wide range of commercial trades and tenancy portfolios, and includes business interruption of up to 20% of the buildings sum insured as standard. Capacity is provided by Ascot Group Syndicate 1414 at Lloyd’s.

Commercial Express will dedicate three underwriters to promptly address queries, referrals and renewals from Open GI customers.

The partnership means Open GI has become the first software house to host Commercial Express on an e-trade panel, and marks a deepening of the relationship between the two organisations, with Open GI hosting Commercial Express’ quote-and-bind extranet.

All brokers who trade with Commercial Express via the Open GI SME platform will also benefit from free access to CE Learning, an online learning platform. Its CPD accredited courses include compliance, technical insurance, management and leadership, and general business skills.

Nick Giddings, Director of Brokers & MGAs at Open GI commented: “We’re really pleased to welcome Commercial Express to our panel. Connecting brokers and their clients with a broad choice of underwriters and service providers is at the heart of what we do. With Commercial Express, our brokers have an extra competitive advantage.”

Commercial Express Managing Director Duncan Pritchard commented: “Partnering with Open GI broadens our distribution to reach thousands of trusted advisers across the country. Our pledge is to back up our competitive e-trade products with a dedicated service team to win and retain clients for years to come.”
