Insurance software provider, Open GI, has chosen St. Richard’s Hospice as its corporate charity partner of the year. Throughout the year, employees will be encouraged to volunteer, raise awareness and, most importantly, funds for the local charity, which Open GI last supported in 2008.
Established in 1984, St. Richard’s Hospice cares for patients and families who are living with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses across Worcestershire. Its mission statement ‘Caring for Life’, is installed in the heart of everything it does, providing FREE care to over 2,600 patients and family members each year.
In 2015, Open GI smashed its fundraising target for Worcestershire Breast Unit Campaign through a range of activities. Some notable events also included: Worcester 10K, Mud-run, summer fete, Dragon boat racing, cake sales and regular dress down days, raising a phenomenal sum of £34,200.
