Acorns Children’s Hospice is the charity partner for our Worcester office.
Established over thirty years ago in 1988, Acorns Children’s Hospice Trust is a registered charity offering a network of care for life limited and life threatened babies, children and young people and their families, across the heart of England.
Willen Hospice is the charity partner for our Milton Keynes office.
For the past 40 years, Willen Hospice has provided free end-of-life care and support for thousands of patients and their families. It has become a major part of the fabric of Milton Keynes, providing care to local people both at the Hospice and in their own homes.
Naomi House and Jacksplace (part of the Wessex Children’s Hospice Trust) are the Winchester office’s charity partners.
The two hospices provide expert care to more than 525 life limited and life threatened children, young adults, and their extended families. As well as providing vital respite support and helping families through difficult times, the hospices care for those with some of the most complex of medical needs.
For 2019, we are supporting the Midlands Air Ambulance and Hampshire And Isle of Wight Air Ambulance charities through our Worcester, and Winchester and Milton Keynes offices respectively.
Midlands Air Ambulance
Since 1991, the charity has responded to more than 50,000 missions averaging 2,000 per year, making it one of the longest established and busiest air ambulance organisations in the UK. The charity’s three aircraft each carry a crew comprising pilot, two paramedics or flight doctors plus full life-support medical equipment. Operating from strategically located regional airbases, 90% of the region is reached within eight minutes.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance brings an advanced Critical Care Team to sick and injured people in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight when they need it most. Available 24/7, 365 days a year, the Air Ambulance Critical Care Team is called out many times a day to attend to road traffic collisions, sporting accidents, collapses and many other incidents.
